(Special to The Statesman ) A ligbt rain, worth many thousands of dollars to farmers and fruit growers j in this section of the state fell here this morning giving the ground which had baked under the hot suns or me nast few days a thorough wetting. The rain was especially welcomed by those farmers who have been grow ing grain crops as a light rain was aii ht wna needed to make them hnmner croria this year. A smalt portion of the hay crop has been cut this week but ranchers say the rain will be of ho harm to it unless 11 should keep up for several days. Fruit crops were also benefitted by the rainfall. ; 1 ' -T WE ADVISE CANNING ALL FRUIT AND VEGETABLES POS . SIBLE. IT WILL SAVE YOU DOLLARS. J. L.
