' - i THERE IS 1 Spanish War Veterans Get Special Fare to This City State Insurance Commissioner Harvey Wells, who is commander of the state organization of United Spanish War veterans, announces that the United States railroad ad ministration has made a concession of one and one-third fare as a spec ial rate to veterans who attend the state encampment to be held la Sa lem July 2. 3. and 4. This amounts to 4 cents a mile for round trip tickets to Salem. Mr. Wells first took up the qnestion with railway orricials in Portland who referred him to the ofrice in Washington, D. C.
