is one of the marked features of our
foreign trade. In December, 1S97,
the country sold 23,000,000 of man
ufactured articles abroad. The sales
in December, 1798, were 28,000,
000, while those in the same month
in 1899 were 3G,000,000. There
was a decline in the amount of ngri
cuTtural exports in the last month of
1899, as compared with the
