The readers of this paper will be
pleased to learn that there is at least one
dreaded disease that science has been
able to cure in all its stages, and that is
Catarrh. Hall's Care is the only posi
tive cute known to the medical frater
nity. Catarrh being a constitutional
disease, requires a constitutional treat
ment. JlttH'e Catarrh Cure is taken in
ternally, acting directly upon the blood
and mucous surfaces of the system,
thereby destroying the foundation of the
disease, and giving the patient strength
by building up the constitution and as
sisting nature in doing its work.' The
proprietors have so much faith in its
curative powers, . that they offer One
Hundred Dollars for any case that it
fails to cure. Send for list of testimo
nials. Address,

Newspaper Comment.
Denver, April 16. Regarding Presi
dent Cleveland's letter to the Chicago
committee, the Republican says: If
his letter contains the best arguments
that can be advanced in favor of a single
gold standard, intelligent people in this
country are certain to repudiate that
standard as soon as they can get an op
portunity." The News says: "An actor at Wash
ington now appears without his disguise.
Obedient to the money power of which
he is the friend, alley and servant, he
openly throws the weight of his great
position on the side of the money kings
and against the people. No more strik
ing confession of the growth of bimetal
ism has been wrung from unwilling lips."

"Perhaps you would not think so, but
a very large proportion of the. diseases
in New York comes from carlessnes
about catching cold, "says Dr. Cyrus Ed
son. "It is such a simple thing and so
common that very few people', unless it
is a case of pneumonia, pay any atten-
ton to the cold. New York is one of
the healthiest places on tbe Atlantic
Coast and yet there are a great many
cases of catarrh and consumption which
have their origin in this neglect of the
simplest precaution of every day fife.
The most sensible advice is, when you
faaveone get rid of it as soon as possible.
By all means do not neglect it." Dr. Ed
son does not tell you how to cure a cold
but we will. It will relieve the lanes,
aid expectoration, open the secretions
and soon effect a permanent cure. 50
