Regarding Presi dent Cleveland's letter to the Chicago committee, the Republican says: If his letter contains the best arguments that can be advanced in favor of a single gold standard, intelligent people in this country are certain to repudiate that standard as soon as they can get an op portunity." The News says: "An actor at Wash ington now appears without his disguise. Obedient to the money power of which he is the friend, alley and servant, he openly throws the weight of his great position on the side of the money kings and against the people. No more strik ing confession of the growth of bimetal ism has been wrung from unwilling lips." " Great Silver Demonstration, Denvkb, April 19. The weather this afterno n is fine, and the silver dem onstration will be a great success. Seats for 5000 people have been placed in the state capital grounds, where an open air meeting will be held, and the indications are that ex-Congressman Sibley and General Warner will be greeted by an audience of at least 10,000. Their speeches will be impromtu. Exposure to rough weather, dam pness, extreme cold, etc., is apt to bring on an attack of rheumatism or neuralgia; chapped hands and face, cracked lips and violent itching of tbe skin also owe their origin to cold weathei. Another Jail Break. Madera, April lb. Six prisoners broke jail here last night. They were Jim Lawson, held for attempted murder and jailbreaking; Jim Hanslip, an In dian, convicted of murder, and sentenced for life, and four hobos. It is tbe sec ond jail break here in two months. A severe rheumatic pain in the left shoulder had troubled Mr. J. H. Leper, a well known druggist of Des Moines, Iowa, fo".- six months. At times the pain was so severe that he could not lift anything. With all he could do he could not get rid of it until he applied Chamberlain Pain Balm.
