'postmaster for the ensuing term.
There were but three applicants for
the Job, Hageman, John "Townsley, one
of the mail carriers of MUwaukie, and
F. W. Belt,' who runs a chicken ranch
and raises pigeons near Milwaukee.
After the agents of .the department
had made their investigations they re
ported Hageman stood at the top of
the list with 91 points in his favor. Bell
, was far behind with JOa, while Towns
