G. Johnson, as sistant commissioner of public works. Friday morning two gangs will be sent into the field to cut weeds on all prop erty where the owners have failed to comply with the law. The cost of cut ting the weeds will be assessed to tho property and the city will take a lien for the amount, Johnson said. The only way out of it for the private owners is to cut their weeds before the gang reaches the place. which has threatened it for months," Ozaki, who was seen at his summer home at Karuizawa, declared. "President Harding brought the cabi net and the empire into a conference on disarmaments and the opposition party of Japan, which I had urged to fight for disarmament, lost the greatest op portunity it has had for the overthrow of the ministry." Ozaki said the Japanese delegation to Washington would be more influenced by the army and naval chieftains than by disarmament sentiment at home, or by any wish for world peace. Japan, since the Chinese war, has been suffer ing with egotism, Ozaki said. "Many people still keep this egotism and many of our people, fanned in their opinions by such papers as the Kokumin and the Mancho, see imaginary enemies.
