Appeals Coart Meets September 19--The circuit court of appeals for the Ninth circuit will convene in Portland September 19. Six appeals from the Judgment of the United States district court are on the docket. Of these six are criminal cases, including the case of Angelo H. Rossi, who was convicted on the charge of disposing of altered War Savings .stamps some time ago, Rossi was sentenced to 18 months' ; imprison ment at McNeil's island. . Clifford Steib, 18, and ei- bert Hayse, 19, boys who attempted to steal an automobile robe from the ma chine of Andrew Mnier, were arraigned in municipal court Friday and found guilty of larceny. The boys were found guilty of stealing accessories from other machines after failing to get the robe from Miller's car. Althous was sen tenced to 30 days' imprisonment. A man and a boy In the hospital with a broken leg apiece is the net tesult of two traffic accidents Friday, in which pedestrians were run down by motor cars. James Mclntyre was struck by a car driven by Henry London, when crossing . the city's main thoroughfare, and Frank Smith,' aged 7, was Injured Friday morning when a motor manned by F. H.
