Both the Standard Oil and Portland Woolen Mills clubs have put in r several strenuous practice sessions this i past week in preparation for the contest and some classy ball should be exhibited. Manager McNevln of Standard OH is relying on the strength of hla pitching staff to bring home the bacon, being well fortified in this respect wltli Webb, Fitchner, Williams and Krause to draw on. while Manager Foss of the Woolen Mills is - depending upon the superb fleldmg of his club to offset any weak ness I exhibited by Pitchers Larsen and Brice. - Both clubs are strong behind the bat Perkins of Standard Oil and Golden. of the 'Woolen Mills being the .class of the city.
