Present Indications a as that the wheat crop in Ceion county will be aa average crop, providing . another hoary rain falls. Callan, local agent of the Wil liams line, and will be given a full cargo of grain by the Pacific Grain company. British and Japanese . vessels Jumped into the game and charters were opened at from S to 10 shillings less than the board rate. As a result there has been a large number of board craft tied up at coast ports. The '. rate named - lor the Yosemite has not been made public, but Is evi dently under the established one of 65 shillings set by Benson. NEW COLUMBIA CHARTS TO , BE SENT SHIPPING MEN To displace tha antiquated naval charts of the Columbia that have been the Polaris of shippers in foreign ports for the last decade. Harry L. Hud son, traffic manager of the Port of Port land and dock commission, has ordered 650 of the new charts compiled by the coast and geodetic survey.
