The outstanding feature of the' invest

CONTRACT IN VIEW
I
i 1
- r
Vancouver, Wash., Dec. 22. That
the awarding of an exclusive contract
for the hauling of Vancouver's gar
bage' has not finally settled the long
contended j question, Is indicated in
a statement madeTuesday by George
M. Davison, attorney.
Although the contract was entered
ijito Monday night between the council
and Sherman Drew, Davison has served
notice that; he will seek a restraining
order to prevent the contract from being
carried out on the grounds that the
terms of the contract do not agree with
the bid submitted by Drew.
That Drew is willing to comply , with
any changes desired by the city is the
opinion ot the garbage committee.
Opposition to the awarding of the con
tract has also been voiced by . E. N.
Livermore, j attorney for other garbage
men in thej city.
The contract with Drew provides for
the hjvy ot 11 a month for the hauling
of garbage! in the residence districts and
for a 25-cent levy" for daily calls in the
business districts. Persons hauling their
own garbage must use Drew's dump and
pay f 1 fori the work.
