"Freedom sometimes runs to license, especially when people have been co erced before there was any tenure in the cltr." he said. "It is easy to see how we can advance from one extreme to another extreme. Teachers now tell their principals they are Inefficient. If we are inefficient, we don't want to hide behind any tenure law. We want the board to have tlr power to say. There is an inefficient principal,' and put him out." Mrs. C. K. Iiikely of Couch school re sponded in a heated manner. , - Then the board members expressed their opinions. Director Orton said he was weary of expensive trials and was willing to accept the recommendation of the superintendent and his assist ants for removals without going through trials such as the board has been com pelled to listen to.
