The pontoon will be the ( ways. The "contract calla for tthe completion of all by January 15, 1921. Each pontoon eieaaure 19 feet 9 Inches In length. 126 feet 6 Inches wide. and 64 feet in height. Dead-weight measurement at launching is estimated tt 1360 tons. When completed, the dock Kill have a' lifting capacity of 16,000 tons, i -Bids for 'the installation of pumps, motors and machinery will be opened . by the commission September 16. , Specifications call for 10 motors and ' 10 centrifugal pumps. The motors will be 100 horsepower each and will drive ,20-lnch pumps, each pump to have a capacity of 10,000 gallons per minute. Each pontoon will carry two pumps and two motors. With the pumping capacity It is as tlmsted that a 12,000-ton ship can De lifted in less than 30 minutes after the blocks have been set. The contract will also call for the installation of pipe and all fittings ready for electrical -cnnnaetlonn. Ulila will be asked for later on the electrical wiring and con nections.
