Not only do the Russians trust the United States to supply foodstuffs and manufactured articles, but education and help with their agricultural problems. Rural Russia is not suffering greatly, but the producers of the nation are dis pensing their products very sparingly and-, in- fact, only when they are forced to do so. The production Is not equal to the demand when the supply is dis tributed throughout the nation. Flier Beats Schedule On Mail Carrying Test Trip in Oregon ' Archie -Roth, pilot for the Oregon, Washington Idaho Airplane company, returned from his mail carrying test trip for time and efficiency Into East ern ' Oregon .. Tuesday afternoon. Roth left last week on this trip, flying a Cur tiss land plane, and made stops at The Dalles, La Grande, Pendleton and Baker. He was ahead of his schedule at all of these places. ; -;.-: --."' Because of high winds and poor gas oline. Roth was delayed . for two days on the return to the home field. He was wind .bound at The Dalles most of the time. Upon returning Roth said the country -over which he flew was sadly deficent in landing fields. He was forced in some instances to use growing grain fields, In some cases two or three miles out of the towns, where there were no facilities for gas, oil or water and no. telephones. Leaving; Pendleton on the return trip he was forced to make a landing be cause of engine trouble on the Indian reservation.
