C Portland Scientists ,1 Boycott Publications W,- The congregations of Portland's iseven . - Christian Science churches have joined vr In the movement to refrain from buy ing, selling or circulating literature sponsored by trustees of the Christian Science Publishing society, as a protest kj against the control of publications by the board of trustees, which control was recognised in findings filed with the Massachusetts supreme court earlier In the month. The contention of the churches is that the board of directors of the- church- are empowered to exercise . authority over the publications and their personnel.. Among the publications In Z .volved are the Christian Science Mon itor, Christian Science Journal and Christian Science Sentinel. Recent fig-, , urea from Boston show that similar ac ' tlon has been taken in 1600 of the 1810 Christian Science churches. A week ago Frank Gilmore announced his res ignation as representative of the Chris tian Science Monitor in this field. Seven Suspects Are I Rounded Up in Hunt : For Slayer of Girl ,i . eteubenviHe.
