Debt Due This Month
The United States treasury is still the
largest borrower of current funds In the
country, having outstanding nearly
$3,000,000,000 of debt certificates. Of
these nearly $850,000,000 fall due this
month, when the first installment of last
year's Income tax is due. The others
are distributed over the three remaining
Income tax dates. Through these cer
tificates the government has anticipated
nearly all of this year's tax receipts.
