White Resigns federal Job Douglas White, who has served for a year and a half as supervisor of the Pacific coast district, agricultural section of the rail- road administration, arrived Saturday miming from San Francisco to finish up some work in this district White announced that he has tendered his res ignation, to become effective December XI. They hope to obtain information from themT Man Commits Suicide After stuffing paper in all the window cracks and un derneath the door, Gustav Ross turned on the gas Saturday afternoon, in his room in the National rooming house. Front and Tarn hill streets, and was suffocated. By the time police knocked down the door, Ross was dead. He had spent the fall picking apples near Dufur. Ross was about 80 years old.
