"Sari" will be presented for the last time tonight at the Alcazar. No play has created more of a sensation at the Alcazar than has "Sari," and being the benefit attraction for devastated France, much interest has been manifested throughout the week. Miss Bell of Russell & Bell, Hippodrome. otageland HEILIO The first public showing in in this city of the picture "The End of the Road.' starring Richard Ben nett and Qlaire Adams, takes place next Wednesday night at 7 p. in. at the Heilig theatre, where continuous per formances will be given three days, from 1 until 11 o'clock. The picture takes nearly two hours to project. This picture was prepared as part of the campaign to combat avoidable sex diseases. Into the main It was in 1839 that Frank Daniels and his company created a-sensation in Port land with the "Wizard," and to those Btory have been woven supplementary who heard the piece then, the Alcazar's showing will recall pleasant memories, and the new theatregoers may be as much pleased as were those who saw the original. The scenes of "The Wizard of the Nile" are located in Egypt, atthe court of King Ptolemy. Kibosh arrives at the court in Cleopatra's barge, which he- Daniels role of Kibosh, and Slabel Wil- has found floating Idly In the Nile, and for his presumption in venturing- to set foot in the royal barge, he ia condemned to death. Kibosh is a wandering fakir, and on his announcing that he knows how to make the Nile rise, the king spares his life. He does make it rise, and is promised the hand of Cleopatra in marriage, but, unluckily for " him. the Nile rises too much and causes an over flow, which devastates everything in sight. As this is more than the king ordered, he promptly sentences the fakir to death once more. Kibosh, however, makes his escape. Osc.r Figman will be cast in the after it is too late.
