Indignant denial was made today by C; A. . Hart, attorney for Mrs. Edna Blanche Dibbern, of . charges made by Lee Roy E. Keeley, who is endeavor ing by legal action to gain a fee of S1600 from Mrs. Dibbern. Keeley had sworn out bench warrant for .Mrs. Pibbern's appearance In the circuit court on the ground that she was leaving the state and the jurisdiction of the court. As a matter of fact, Mrs. Dibbern was at her usual work at the Grant Smith Porter Ship company plant this morn ing and has been at work constantly for a month, the company reported. It was at this shipyard that her husband was killed several months ago, for which Mrs, Dibbern obtained from the indus trial accident commission a settlement of $4000. For alleged legal services in obtaining this settlement. Keeley is now claiming- a 40 per cent Tee. Hart declared-this morning" that his firm was representing Mrs. Dibbern In the effort to resist action by,. Keeley, inasmuch as Keeley is allegedT to have offered to get Judgment for Mrs. Dibbern on the basis of friendship and sympathy.
