Journeymen Bakers Want More Wages The master bakers are negotiating with the Bakers union over a proposed new scale of wages. A counter propo sition has been submitted to the union which grants sin increase in regular and a decrease in over-time. Tha master bakers declare they cannot grant the increasea demanded by the union unless the price of bread is advanced. The workers reply- that the master bakers are making good money and can afford to divide their prosperity with the workers. ' .:' Influenza Victim Leave Young Baby Salem. April 25. The University of Oregon Glee club appeared at Coquille in the second concert of their Coos' county schedule.- The committee of high school students, headed by Miss O'Farrell, a member of the class of 1917. met the company with autos, giv ing them a sight-seeing trip around Coquille valley. It is expected that the funeral of Donald Shreve. aged 19. the victim of the automobile accident on Monday night on the North Bank highway above underwood, will be held at the end of this week, following the arrival of two sisters who are in Seattle.
