Sorenson was ac cused of running dowi and killing Mrs. Smith with his automobile. - at West Tark' and; Oak. streets, the evening of December 26. Testifying '1n his- own, behalf, Soren eoir told the "Jury that about neon the day of the accident he took two drinks ; 'that he left his office In the Chamber of Commerce building about 5 :20 o'clock In the evening and waited until v 5 30 o'clock for Chester Sorenson, his son. and that then he prooeeded straight up 'Ctark street in hie automobile to his -home at 1021 Quimby street. .".
