Baker has not said anything about wanting to play with the Beavers to anyone on the outside, and it is not known whether he has asked to have the McCrediea use their good offices with Detroit to send him out this way. But one has his suspicions. But wouldn't Baker and Boelzle make a fine pair of backstops? There have been few brainier catchers than Del Baker and his biggest booster is W. Hennery McCredie, the man who has en 'em come and go for 15 years in the Coast league. On the other hand Baker is Just as strong a booster for Boelzle.
