Steel common sold off H in th first few min utes to 108 and then quickly rallied to 109 hi Tha improvement which developed after the opening became mora pronounced in the sat forenoon when there was a good demand all through the list with many stocks making up turns of from 1 to 2 points. Tha general be lief prevailed that liquidation forced by tbe banking interest had been complete and this morning there was no evidence of any pressure even in the specialties. The oil stocks continued prominent. Texas Ocmpany making a gain of 3 poind 'to 161 and Mexican Petroleum rose from 102 tt to 104.
