Rerales of barley which were intended f9tth
east are reiiorted to the local trade, and th sit
uation in the market here is somewhat easier.
1M tq the fact tbat (be eastern market baa
dropped somewhat of late, buyers of Northwest
stock there have been offering to resell fair
stocss to the trade, and this has aided somewhat.
This, with the fairly free offering of California
barley has filled immediate requirements of th
trade, gud ng. effort whatever are being made
to iJUtcuao giocks in (be country because of tb.
Uigliff figure asged there.
Outs situation, too, ia aomeajhat easier, due to
Hie fact that especially for feed tb requirement
are curtailed. Buyers grs not inclined to purchase
uiurt- than their immediate requirements, none
briuj anting to carry anything over into the
coming season becsu, of thj gxiwetations of a
very big trop apd lower price.
