He was recey with applause, laughter and audible weeping. Lauder found he could laugh and Joke as of yore, and then he went to the trenches where he entertained thousands of British soldiers. The Edison ' picture shows the wlsard oi electricity from his boyhood to the present time, his marvelous inventions, and becoming more personal, shows the various pursuits he followed, including a picture which reveals the manner in "which he became deaf . This picture was given a private - showing Tuesday and everyone who was present was enthusi astic in its praise. The Cantonment picture shows the buildings in course of construction, the ' workmen laboring at top speed. As an lnstanoe. three huge buildings accommo dating 900 men are depicted arising in the unbelievable time of 87 minutes. NEW YPRK. Feb. 13. (I. N. S.) The Shuberts won an Important point to day In their war with Klaw & Erl'anger. It waa announced that they had moved to acquire full booking privileges in the attractions of soine of the larger theatri cal producers. : A. H. Woods, It was said, had agreed to place about 15 attractions with: the Shuberts throughout the summer- fol lowing an offer by the Shuberts to boy a half interest in his productions and theatres at "almost a fabulous price." Moreover, the Shuberts have begun negotiations with Cohan A Harris and other firms that have been booking wholly or in part through Klaw & Erlanger. Lee Shubert admitted the deal with Mr. Woods. The latter, however, denied the report that he had sold a half Interest In his theatre and productions.
