MAY DROP SHARPLY; MARKET IS BLOCKED v hVmam m. ooacri Tha canned milk trade today to in serirmt danger and a very sharp break In vaiues may be anticipated within a thort period. Every wsrehouse that milk sendenaery com panies can obtain to store their product baa re cently bean filled to overflowing with tuppUat ana uiere is practically na eastward movement. The big condeBseriet and the small ones toe seem ta have burned their candle of pros perity at bott- ends. -. They have not only caused the greatest accumulation of canned milk stocks in tha Pacific Northwest, but by their actions they hat forced many ' cheese factories and number of creameries, out cf business. Tney hat bkl price so high for butter'at that it was impossible tor th cheese and putter manufacturer to fellow suit. They bar been euibled to do this heretofore Becanae .the were able to secure almost any price they hos to aaa ror the canned prod not. Then all of a sudden Europe refuses to dut- ehaae additional supplies of canned milk. With out warning th great profits in sight (or canned milk are said to be turning to acuta lose. Europe bat become tired of paying much more money for canned milk thaa it waa worth and la tha bargain getting in many instance a product uat war apoUea before being shipped. This, means that unless Europe again eaten t ie raerkst fog canned milk at an early' date, eondensery companies must reduce their fwee m both, the canned product And tb extreme value, they are paying for raw milk to th farm er. The latter will uiekly result in lowering th prion of fresh milk to th consumer, for it has been to eondensery more than any other attain that has forced milk consumers to ,ay tui-u extreme values as nave ruled recently.
