" ' PORT BQXD ISSUE EXPLAINED Engineer Hegardt of Dock Commis sion Talks to Commission. G. B. Hegardt, engineer of the public docks commission, was before the city commissioners today to explain the details of the $3,000,000 bond issue for grain elevator and greater port facilities. The measure providing for the bond issue comes before the voters in June. Mr. Hegardt explained that the orig inal scheme for a $900,000 issue pro posed for grain elevators did not con template the work to be done under the proposed $3,000,000 bond issue. A written statement of the facts Is to be- presented to the commission as a resuit or the conference today.
