Word has been received In this cty of the death of August Lovegren, founder of Cherry Grove, a mill town of thf county. Uls death occurred Tuesday following an operation for a to roach trouble. Mr. Iovegreii built a large mill at Cherry Grove and constructed a rail road from Patton, a station between Dlljey and Gaston, on the Southern Pacific, to Cherry Grove, and he do nated a four room school building to tbetown. Two years ago he sold his holdings, including; 8080 acres of tim ber, to the Haskell Carpenter company. He had Just finished sugar factor in Seattle when be fllea.
