Skamania County
Is Working on Road

TJp mns Thoroux-nfar Whn Dons.
Owing to construction work it Is in
advisable to attempt to make the trip
to Stevenson In Skamania county,
Wash., by way of Vancouver and along
the north bank of the Columbia river.
The road from Vancouver to the Ska
mania county line is in good condition,
but beyond that there is a bad run
going flown into Prindle and between
Pi-indle and a point five miles this
side of Stevenion the road is, badly cut
up by grading crews.
It is quite probable that it will be
in this condition all this season.
When the construction Is completed
Skamania county will have a good
highway, one that will supplement the
Columbia river highway on the Oregon
shore. It is being built on proper
lines and in sijf-h a manner that it can
be improved as the traffic demands.
Besides making more accessible a
large tract of undeveloped country it
will have a valuable scenic character.
This is of varied form and different
from that on the Oregon shore, making
a trip up one shore and down the other
a continual delight.
As a matter of fact one gets a bet'.'v
view of the bluffs and waterfalls of
the Oregon bank from the Washington
side than from the Oregon side. Tho
perspective is similar to that of a
theatre.

Motor Lines Are
Regulated in Arizona
The Arizona state corporation com
mission Iss issued an order affecting
all motor lines within the state The
motors must run on a fixed schedule
at a speed not in excess of 25 miles
an hour. A bond must be given the
state for observance of all regulations.
A novel point is that accident and
death policies must be provided for all
passengers. Light cars weighing un
der 20dO pounds must not carry more
than 130 pounds excess barrage and
heavy cars 350 pounds, so stowed as
not to extend beyond running boards.
Drivers must be at least 21 jears of
age.

There is a limit to the amount of work horses ' -

An International Motor Trucl Has No Such limit

If you suspect that the full-floating RearAxle is full-floating in name only
If you think the Starting or Lighting System is anything but the highest grade and
most efficient the market affords
If you think there is any chance for money to buy a better motor, better ignition
system, better carburetor, better transmission, better bearings, it will pay you to
come and see the 1917 Grant
