Those to serve on these com mittees will be notified by the secre tary. The boat Swan has been chartered, with a capacity of 500 to 6f0 people. The boat will leave Portland about 7:45 p. m. and go up the river to Os wego, where It will land. Two Sunday evening young people's meeting of an interdenominational character wlil bo conducted on the grounds each of the two Sunday eve nings of the Chautauqua, and will be In charge of the Clackamas county union. Tho young people of Multno mah and Clackamas county are invit ed to make an effort to attend these meetings. The Multnomah county union will have charge of all publicity in con nection with tho headquarters' work. Sir. and Mrs. Clarence II. Sprague- will be In- charge of the headquarters, and will he assisted by prominent officials Of the state and county unions. A register will bo opened wherein all visitors will be asked to enter their names. Dr. Loveland's Series . Draws Large Crowd On last Sunday evening Vr. Iove land began a series of evening ser mons for the month of July on "Un desirable ( iregunlans." The opening number of this series was greeted by an audience that completely filled the auditorium.. An absorbing interest i was manifested from the beginning to the end. and taking this a3 a stand-i- ard the series promises to be very popular. Boyd to Discuss Topic; Midsummer Com munion Service, "The X'ncommon Meaning of Com mon Work" Is the subject of Dr. John If. Uoyd's sermon at 7:4 5 p. m. Sun day. The- sermon is the second of the evening series based upon certain great jshort poems of a religious char acter. This sermon will be illustrated through George Kltot's great- poem "Stradivarius," familiar for its inter pretation of what common work may mean. On next Sunday evening, July 16, Dr. Hoyd will preach on the sub ject of "Life Interpreted in Terms of Failure," suggested by Robert Prown ing's poem, "Rabbi Pen L'zra." After the regular service with its sermon is over, ull those who are seriously in terested in the poem will be invited to remain for an after-meeting in the chapel, when a detailed interpretation of "Rabbi Hen Ezra" will be studied.
