Brown said Monday tlmr there nothing to back up Patton's contention that the law of 1915, per mlttlnt candidates 'to file for homl nation by payinjr a fee was void. The attorney general pointed out that even If the name in written In and the can didate, without paying a fee or filing a petition, receives sufficient vote he Is nominated. Therelore, Brown believes that the five who received the highest number of votes received the nominations for state senator in the Thirteenth dls trlot. Tourists who are visiting the Hood River val ley are complaining on account of tin conditions of the roads in sections where the irrigation companies und farmers are permitted to allow their waste water to run into the thoroughfares.
