Twelve men will leave here tonight for Corvallis. where they will meet O. A. C. In a dual track meet Satur day afternoon. After the meet with Oregon last week the team has been put through seme hard work. Coach Van der Veer has been putting most of his time in with the weight men. as they are the weakest Washington has had In years. Drummond will not take the trip, as he Is not fast enough for the sprints. His place on' the team will be filled by Corbett. This will give Washington two men In the two mile and three men in the mile. Gibson will in all probability be left home, as the faculty will not grant him a leave of absence for the meet. This will handicap Washington in the hurdles, as he Is the best they have. Last Saturday Gibson finished first In the low hurdles and third in the high. With the changes Coach Van der Veer expects to send a better team to meet O. A. C. than he put up against Oregon. With an even break in luck Washington should come near winning the meet. This will be the last meet for Wash ington, as they are not going to enter a team in the northwest conference meet at Pullman. NATIONAL LEAGUE GAMES Giants Win Their Thirteenth.
