John Milliken Is Dead at Age of 62 John Milliken, former courthouse re porter cf the Qreponian for many years, died Saturday night of acute pneu monia. He is survived by a widow and two daughters. John Milliken wag 62 years of age and had been a newspaper writer for nearly 80 years, CO of which were spent in Portland. Before that time he was in California In the same work. One hundred and twenty-six persons reached the summit of Larch mountain yesterday under the auspices of the Mazamas. The climb was the official winter snowshoe outing. j On the way up during the dark hours of tho morning, Portland 30 n.iies away, seemed at the foot of the mountain. Kvery light was visible.
