Rolls Over Twice In Auto; Unhurt The Dallea, Or., Dec. 17. Whlxzing down a steep grade late Thursday, L. O. McCoy, a wealthy business man, ran his Ford runabout over a 20 foot embankment to the rocks below. The car turned over ""twice and landed upright. Beyond a few scratches the car arid driver were unhurt. Dec. 7.1 The sum of JIOO.10.90 has been spent on roads In Clatsop county during the year Just closing. The sum of $11,109.13 was spent or bridges alone. The money was raised by lax levy. The estim its for 1 9 1 is $106,500 for roads and $25,800 for bridges. The road master's office will spend J 4.500 for salaries, traveling ex penses and supplies. Eight Applicants Seek Lakeview Job Eight applications arei out for ap pointment as receiver of the -United States land office at Lakeview, Lake county, according to the Lake County Examiner. The term of F. P. Crone miller, the present receiver, will ex pire January 26. He is a Republican and has held the position for eight years.
