Gerber, "which was celebrated at noon Thursday, at the First Congregational church. Rev. Luther Dyott read the -service. The affair was very simple, ,and only relatives and a few close friends were present. In the evening a reception and supper took place at the new home of the young couple, 847 East iKlghty-second street. The bridal gown was of dainty lin gerie and the bride wore with it a aummery hat of lace and marguerites. Miss j Bess Tate made a chic maid of honor in frock of yellow crepe de chine ..with j hat to match. A. T. Gerber, brother of the bridegroom, attended as best -man, and Miss Esther Haw kin played the wedding march. The guests were Miss B"lynns youngest piano pupils and their friends. Decorations were in character with Wilson day, and the favors were little silk flags.. Miss Frances Prudhomme played several piano selections, and Master James Forcstal accompanied the children -when they sang patriotic songs. The hostess was assisted by three attractive girls. Mr. BowJen is a prominent citizen of Nottingham and is owner of the Raleigh Cycle Co. He has a sister, Mra. W. T. Gardner, and niece, Mrs. John J. ; Kennedy, in Portland, whom he visited here five years ago. Invitations are out for the wedding of. Miss Violette Dolores Jennings, daughter of Mr., and Mrs. J. J. Jen nings, and Richard R. Sleight. The date is set for Wednesday .evening, July 7. and the ceremony will be per formed at the home of the bride's par ents.
