When the men were taken Into cus. today, they confessed entering the Sell ing: store by way of the skylight, tak ing the 31 suits to Harrowltz, who. It Is said, paid $4 a suit. The suits re tail for $25 and $30 each. When th detectives sought information from Harrowltz Jn regard to the theft, hs denied knowledge of the affair. Crutch and his wife, Isabel Crutch, were convicted yesterday afternoon by a Jury in Circuit Judge Kavanaugh's court of obtaining $110 from Olds, Wortman 4 King on a dishonored i check. Sentence will be passed Thurs- day. Crutch, .according to testimony by Thomas Richardson, fleeced him in ; a gambling game and a check for the amount was given. The next morning Richardson said he discovered the game was crooked and stopped payment on I the check. Cratch testified that when he found payment was stopped he gave the check to his wife and that she cashed it- He was extradited from Cleveland, Ohio. Must More Stable. An order was issued yesterday by Circuit Judge Mc Ginn at the Instance of Attorney H. J. Bigger for Sheriff Word, to see that a iivery stable at East Thirty-fifth and Alder streets belonging to Walter E. Jacobs Is done away with. Attorney Bigger represented Mrs. Alice C. Porges, who recently won a suit against Jacobs to have the stable de clared a nuisance, and in which she was awarded $1 damages to her prop erty near the stable. Uaaoueraded on Street. The funeral of Mrs. Dorothea E. A. bohlman Of 46 North Ninth street, who died Sunday of. heart disease, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock in HMnley's chapel, and the body will bo laid o rest in the Rlvervlew cemetery. Mrs. Bohlinan was the wife of 11. C. Bohlman, secretary of the German Relief society, .and for 20 ears aided him in his work. During the score of years she engaged in the work she put in virtually all her wak ing hours visiting and aiding the poor. Among them she was known as "Moth er" Bohlman, and there are many men occupying good positions in and near Portland today who came to her "down and out," and through her efforts, got work. Mrs. Bohlman lived 47 years of her life in Portland. She was born in Hamburg, Germany, July 10, 1835, and came to the United States in 1867, the year she and Mr. Bohlman were married. She was a charter member of the German Evangelical Reformed church of Portland, and one of the di rectors In the German Ladies' Relief society. Case Goes Before Grand Jury. J. Harrowltz. second hand dealer at 169 Front street, yesterday was ordered before the grand jury from the munici pal court on a charge of receiving stolen property. The goods in ques tion consist of 31 suits of clothes said to have been stolen from the Ben Sell ing store and sold to Harrowltz. (Adv.) Parole Ze Revoked. Earl McCrosky was arrested last evening by Parole Officer Snodgrass from the Btate prison for violating his parole. Mc Crosky was convicted a few months ago and given an opportunity to change his ways, but a 15-year-old girl now In the Xxralee home gave in formation that led to the revocation of the parole. McCrosky la 24 years old and was employed in an employ ment bureau in the north end. Emll Sidel, former Socialist mayor of Milwaukee, Wis., will speak tonight in German.
