ARGUMENT ON BRAINS
RESULTS IN DIVORCE
Tacoma, Wash., March 7. "Women
haven't brains enough to hold office
and shouldn't be allowed to vote." The
above remark by her husband, George
F. Strong, was the basis for crueUv
charges, which today secured for
Louise Strong a divorce in JuUg-o
Easterly's court.
"Where is there a woman with as
mueh'bt'Jlins as Theodore Roosevelt?"
the husband is alleged to have in
quired, to which Mrs. Strong replied,
that if one took time to look around,
plenty of woman Just as brainy would
be found. And from this, the misun
derstanding grew, until Strong is al
leged to have turned his wife out, and
to have gone to Alaska.'
