Chinese Girl Arrested Word has
Just, been received by the local police
detective department of the arrest in
Chicago of Toy Yoke, wanted here on
a jcharge , of robbing a Portland Chi
nese merchant, who claims she stole
more than $1000 worth of jewelry, or
naments and a small amount of cash.
The complaining witness is Uee Kong,
who signed for the injured merchant,
whose store Is at 83 North Fourth
street. "The merchant had been con
victed of HflllriK opium, and was in

Tonngr Burglar Caught. Two 11-
year-old boys were arrested this morn
ing at 4:30 o'clock for burglary of a
bicycle shop at East Thirteenth street
and Spokane avenue. They are Kalph
Bailey, 646 Tenlno street, and Enor
Leaf, 1650 East Sixth street. - Ths
boys had two rifles, an ax. two flash
lights, box of cigarettes, an oil can, a
glass cutter and can of salmon. Pa
tiolman Herderson made the! arrest.
Both lads said they took the guns with
the intention to go hunting today, in
stead of to school. They were taken
to tte juvenile court this morning.

drunk. This morning at' 6 o'clock. they
were released from jail sober. Manish
had $27; while Carter had nothing.
Half an hour later both men. were
rearrested. Carter then had $27 and

White Salmon, 'Wash., Feb. 13. At
the regular council meeting Tuesday
night, a number of improvements were
decided upon. Several streets are to
be opened and graded and sidewalks
are to be put in in different parts of
tewn. - Several lots have been given
the town for a public square. A
grandstand is to be erected and swings
end benches will be put in.

Johnson, who died January 5, and the
will probated yesterday provides that :

Caledonia E. Coleman, the entire estate
