erine Newlands. bis mother, are dead
today, the result of a collision be
tween their automobile and a Santa
Fe locomotive at the Santa, Fe "death
crossing" in South Pasadena. New
lands was killed instantly, while his
mother died before she could be taken
to a hospital.
