Coun ty. School: Superintendent A. P. Arm strong has made an apportionment of State and county school funds on hand and divided $87,724.71 of-state funds and 12.300.84 of county funds among the 46 districts and eight Joint districts of the county. . Portland -district will receive l2 ftsa of these fund. Another apportionment will be made on the first Monday in January, 1914, but the' amount to be di vided men cannot be stated aUpreaent The. state fund is divided on n. rtn ot ii.3 a pupil. The county fund is given out at tle rate of $100 to each district and an additional $S for each leather holding an institute certificate. No per capita division of county funds was made for the reason that ail was exhausted . before the. entire apportion ment was completed. The entire school registration for the county was 47,937, of which Portland had 43,204 pupils.'
