A cable note of protest was addressed today to the imperial Japanese government at Tokio by the Dominion government regarding the arrival of a boat load of Japanese at Bella Bella, a north coast village in evasion of .the Immigration laws and the Japanese-Dominion agreement. Without mincing matters, the Domin ion officials stated that they have knowledge of two boat loads of former Japanese army. men, which are now on their way over and the government of Canada wishes to know what action Tokio is prepared to take to keep them from landing. Hardlgan, a motion picture producer, contributed, escaped last week from the state reform school at Whittier. Yesterday It became known that Cleo Helen Barker, chief witness against George Hs Bixby, had disappeared from Claremont, Miss Nesbelth and Miss Neal were close friends.
