Governor Sulser announced Monday that the bill to double the state tax on transfers of stock tsr to be withdrawn. Buver, Or, March 1L The parenta' and teachers' meeting held at Suver was a success in every way and nearly every school patron for many miles around was present, many Interesting subjects were discussed, among them the "Home Credit System." This system is a splen did success over the whole county and every parent endorsed the work. Representatives from Buena Vista, Falrvlew. and other schools were pres ent and spoke highly of the Home Cred it work. The following educators were present: H. C. Seymour, H. H. Parsons, Professor Reynolds and F. Myers.
