Thin, anaemic, pale faced, thin-lipped,' tired, aching, bony men and women, take on a most re markable new lease of life, i The hollow places fill out, the nerves are sheathed with- healthy covering, the muscles plump up with natural flesh, the eyes lose that hungry pleading ex pression, and you feel better and stronger in every part of the body. The secret is in the fact that Protone cor rects the faults of assimilation. Tour food is converted Into the kind of blood that - makes solid flesh. (Hjicdul to Tb Jonnal.) Seaside, Or., Feb. 13. Inspired by the beauty of the grounds surrounding the new summer home of Governor West, near Hay stack Itock, Cannon beach, fi mills fiein 'aire, many other residents of that section are planning improve ments of a similar nature. -, j-4 .The home of the governor, wheree and his iamily expect to spend "their future summer outings, retains much of Its natural beauty, and the artificial work, such as driveways, shrubbery hedges, fountains and flower beds, while quite extensive, has been done along simple lines, and the result is one that most any property owner along the beach could accomplish' with little out lay. Among the first to respond to the new inspiration is M. S. Warren, proprie tor of a hotel. Who owns and maintains quite extensive .grounds in ' connection Heretofore, convenience alone has been considered in all work done about the place. Trees have been cut down, when In the way, and driveways hav been cleared where stumps and rocks were thinnest And now Mr. Warren disapproves-of the comparison between his grounds, which, as a matter of business should be attractive, and Mr. West's house, whose work has been done for purely personal comforts. Mr. - Warren has called -in some ex pert advice, and while be does not ex pect to outshine the gubernatoriai'a rest ing place, he does know that with very little cash involved, the general attrac tiveness of the hotel can be Increased many time over by a little "land doctor- . - ' . - ' h. . . ... .. Improvement plans have been drawn up that provide among many other im provements, a 20 foot gravel driveway completely around the hotel, With nar rower lateral walks running to different points of interest about the grounds.
