One load of steers from J. V. McKennon at La Grande , sold at 47.60. . . . : The local market was ths only one in the country that showed strength In the cattle trade for the day, lsewher pressure was exceedingly heavy and values melted rapidly before buyers were willing to take hold at all This was especially true of Kansus City, where losses of 10' to 26c were forced In former prices.
