Further arrests are reported among
retail dealers who persist In offering
for Hale cold storage eggs as tha strict
ly fresh product.
The office of tha state'dairy and food
commissioner is busily engaged at this
time 1ft looking up offenders against the
pure food law, and, according to the
officers, every -one-found- violating, the
law will be arrested every time that
such goods are offered, if warrants are
sworn out for the same parties twice a
day. By this method it IS hoped to tire
out ths offenders, "
'Wj .Intend to prosecute . very" one
found violating this law." says EJ. T.
Judd, deputy food ' commissioner, . to
day. "Some of the "ones arrested have
promised to hereafter obey the law in
fun,- buraftei the arrests ara- made,
we will push the cases whether they
feel this way or' not,"
Since th officials started in persult
against the dealers selling cold , storage
eggs as fresh stock, there has been a
notable decrease In violations of the
law.,. Heretofore too much leniency has
been given the offenders but officials
are now determined to stamp out the
practice both for the good of general
business conditions and? tha encourage
ment of the egg industry.

a bushel last week, are now practically
out of the market. Their views have
proven out of line with actual condi
