The lighthouse trail extends from Tillamook city to Cape Mnars, a prom ontory Just south of the Hayocean pe ninsula. It wns originally built by the federal government to give access to the Cape Mears lighthouse, but for a number of years It has been ncKlccted, and is now blocked by fallen trees and shrubbery. Kroni the lighthouse, a rond has been built to the btach at Hayocean. The trip to Hayocean by way of the trail is 1.1 miles, whrrcnx the proposed road will bo seven miles long.
