After be ing on tha beach at Rogue river for 24 hours the little gasoline schooner ' Osprey, owned by the Wedderburn Trad ing company, was safely floated again and has started on a trio to Cooa Rav - freight for Rogue River and on enter ing the harbor she went on the north spit at tha bar. At low tide sha was .high and dry and the freight waa unloaded on tha beach. Anchors and lines were thrown out and the boat floated at high tide. An examination proved that ahe waa not damaged. The Osprey waa built for R. D. Hume and operated by him and waa sold to the Maoleay estate, of Portland, when the latter bought the Hume property .recently, biie has made a number of meat to aboulder the expense of the tug when neceaaary apparently proved aat-lafactory. ALONG THE WATS"vRONT Extending her run, the ateamer R. O. Bateman made her first trip out of Rldft-efleld yesterday morning, competing- with the steamer Modoc. Carrying general cargo for New York, the American-Hawaiian steamer Fal con sailed for San Franclaco yeaterday afternoon. The ateamer Northland, Captain Bodg-e, finished discharging her cargo last night and will load a cargo of lumber here and at Llnnton for San Pedro. F. F. Connor, of San Franclaco, a former ateamahlp man. is in Portland on a business trip. Mr. Connor waa formerly traffic manager for the Pa cific Coast Steamahlp company and prior to that waa San Francisco agent for the Panama Railroad company.
