Why not make' a clean job cf it April 19 and retire Morrow? "If you want to know pomethinj; about Morrow's decUJoni and how they have affected the pxir and helplea claia, to the courthoue and examine hi record. Look up hi 'rule :f reann in the case of Montgomery versus the Southern Pacific Railroad company. "This caie, as decided by Morrow, is one of th mot flar ing miwarriages of jutice in the history of the Multnomah court, and out frazzle anything ever charged up to Judge Cleland. "Montgomery was a brakeman employed by the Southern Pacific, who had his arm torn from his body while coupling cars in southern Oregon. He med the company and had k clear case, but Morrow non-suited him on the ground that, because the train on which he was employed had to take the ide track to allow another to pass, it was not engaged in interstate commerce at that particular moment, and therefore the federal fellow servant act did not apply. This In face of the fact that the train which was side tracked was on the way from one state to another. "This decision, one of the rankest on record, left poor dis abled Montgomery a cripple for life; maimed, poverty-stricken and helpless. That's only one instance of Morrow; look up his record and see for yourself. "Morrow seeks reelection. Running against him is William C. Benbow, assistant city attorney, who defeated the Bell telephone trust before U. S. supreme court and established the validity of the Oregon system. Benbow is one of the people and holds their rights above property rights. Tudges of this stripe are a rare treasure, and it is seldom that the people have a chance to exchange a Morrow for a man like Benbow." (This advt. Is inserted and paid for by a taxpayer who -wants to tee an honest bench.) (Paid Ad.) J.T.
