Closing yesterday afternoon with to estimated attendance of over 6500 peo ple, the Second Annual Pacific North west Livestock phow passed Into his tory aa the most successful event of its kind ever held In Portland. This morn ing all ,of the : successful exhibitor wer ready to return to their ranches. Everyone attending, was Surprised t the large number of prlae stock that was placed on exhibition and at the num bers of persons who came to visit the rnow. .' ' - . The event of th last day was the sales of the breeding cattle from the combined farms - of ,W. O. Minor of Hoppner, Frank Brown of Carlton and A. D. Dunn of Wapato, Wash., and the , principal sale was that of Mr. Brown's pure white 6-year-old bull "Wapato" to Miss Lillian M. Julian of Yreka, C&l., a rancher who was present at the ting side and attracted a great deal of at tention by her spirited bidding for the animal in competition with breeders of Oregon, Washington and Idaho. The sales ..'pf the., stock . waa. About evenly" divided among the breeders of the three northwest states an! as the competition was very keen all of th stock offered brought excellent "prices. Ail of the sales this day were for large money, there being one sale for 60c per pound and snveral for from 10c to 20c, and the grand total of sales was far ahead of expectations of the growers.
