Eugen, dr., Sept. 6.CrI Oray, presi
dent of the Oregon Klectrlo Railway,
arrived- In Eugene last evening in an
automobile' 'having made the trip from
Salem through the rain and mud. Mr.
Gray came to Eugene' te look at the
ground recently bought by agents of the
company for a' depot site and terminal
grounds and to arrange for a franchise
on more streets In the city than Fifth
street, over which thoroughfare the
Oregon Electric will enter Eugene from
the north and on which the passenger
depot will bo located. It Is. said that
the company desires to. build a loop ex
tending from Fifth street to the south
ern part of the city over High street,

for the purpose of holding examinations.
